Class Code Summary:
Florida Workers Comp class code 9516 is assigned to employers that install, service or repair home theater equipment including, but not limited to, televisions, DVD players and recorders, digital video recorders, and speakers. The erection of satellite dishes (36 inches or less) to receive broadcast signals is additionally assigned to Code 9516 when performed by the home theater installer. Satellite dishes are generally mounted on homes or other buildings.
Exclusions to this classification would be those who engage in electrical wiring, tower erection, installation, service, or repair of appliances, visual or sound equipment installation for stadiums or theaters, repair of office machine equipment, erection of large (greater than 36 inches) satellite dishes, or any retail employee that sells related equipment but does not work in the installation or repair of it.
