Class Code Summary:
Florida Workers Comp Class Code 9220 applies to all cemetery operations (wither human or pet); that is, the usual maintenance work, such as cutting of grass, shrubbery, etc., the digging of holes in the ground prior to the lowering of the caskets, the backfilling of the holes and the planting of shrubbery on the grave that has been backfilled. Code 9220 also includes the care and maintenance of each grave as well as the general maintenance operations. In addition, the maintenance of a mausoleum is considered incidental to the operation of the cemetery and classified under Code 9220. This class code is all inclusive in its scope and would even include salespersons who may work in an office location as well as show customers gravesites or cemetery property.
